Ivan Palomares-Gonzalez is the HPSSC Athlete innovation Lab Specialist at the University of Michigan, where he supports applied biomechanics and metabolic testing in HAIL. He earned his Master of Science in Kinesiology from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Ivan’s research and professional interests center on human performance, biomechanics, and sports technology. He has collaborated with elite organizations including the San Diego Padres, San Diego Legion, and USA Olympic Track Cycling, contributing to both research and performance initiatives.
He has presented his work at the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) National Conference and is scheduled to present at the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) annual meeting. In addition, he has collaborated on research that will be presented at this year’s NSCA National Conference and the European College of Sport Science (ECSS) Conference.
He is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
